晨光初现的上海滩，放浪形骸的工部局英国要员威尔逊在一间酒吧被人枪杀。恰好晨跑途经此地的法租界巡捕房探长钟朗（钟汉良 饰）与凶手穿戴服装如出一辙，是以被目击证人指以为凶手。公共租界巡捕房巡长刘天德（尹天照 饰）接到报案后赶到现场，从钟朗身上搜出威尔逊的钱，钟朗有口难辩。于胜男（齐芳 饰）和韩非（释小龙 饰）焦心万分，无奈威尔逊身居要职，英国方面极其大怒，而钟朗和曾作为他师父的刘天德又于数年前积下夙怨，致使钟朗的处境极其晦气。胜男和韩非被迫睁开自力查询拜访，与此同时新的凶杀案产生，使得刘天德对钟朗一案也发生迷惑。 　　审讯期近，钟朗面对史无前例的年夜危机……

People got so angry, dug a hole in front of the fountain, put her into the hole and threw stones at her face. The girl died soon after. The evil went off the deep end, took a revenge of the village and killed everyone except two sisters because the evil wanted them to take care of its baby...
